About Me

Katherine Williams was born and grew up on the Wirral peninsula in Cheshire, England, before moving to London to study Business with French and Spanish. In her late thirties she moved to the United States with her two young sons. She now lives in rural Connecticut where she loves to cook for family and friends, garden in her vegetable patch and walk in the surrounding countryside with her dog, Winnie. An avid reader, she started writing short stories five years ago. Her fascination for World War Two history, particularly the role of women in the Resistance, led her to write The Glovemaker’s War. This is her first full length novel.
